Jessie and Eric’s couples maternity session was truly special. We began at their home in Colorado and ended at a beautiful park. It was filled with connection, trust, genuine hospitality and creativity—my favorite combination as a Denver maternity photographer! Despite the rain on my drive there, we decided to go for it. Luckily, the rain stopped, leaving us with cloudy skies that added the perfect touch of moodiness to the photos!
Genuine Hospitality
From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by Jessie and Eric’s hospitality. Jessie offered me a drink right away, mentioning how she noticed on my website that I love coffee. So she made a delicious iced coffee just for me! Jessie went on to say that she also saw I love cheeseburgers from McDonald’s and her intention was to also have that for me. I was genuinely SHOCKED that she knew this info! While it’s on my website I never expect couples to know this, so I just knew they really valued me.
A Unique Home Maternity Photoshoot with Chickens
We started the session at their cozy home, surrounded by their adorable chickens. Jessie had mentioned wanting to include them in the photos, and it turned out so beautifully! Capturing them in their natural environment with their beloved chickens added such a personal and intimate touch to the session. Eric is a tattoo artist so he has a creative mind as well. It was really fun being able to collaborate and get creative with the two of them!
Stunning Shots at South Valley Park
After our home maternity session, we headed to South Valley Park. The clouds still lingered and were honestly creating such a vibe! Every so often, the sun would peek through, casting the most gorgeous glow on Jessie and Eric. The moodiness of the dark clouds added the perfect backdrop, making the entire experience even more magical.
A Deeper Connection
While I always strive to connect with my couples, Jessie and Eric’s session felt especially meaningful because they truly wanted to connect with me. Their thoughtful gestures, like the iced coffee and planned cheeseburgers, showed how much they valued our time together. This genuine effort made a huge difference in our experience. When couples connect not only with each other but also with me, it elevates the session. Their trust in me allows for greater creativity, and I absolutely love collaborating to make the session as unique and special as possible.
