Intimate Colorado Micro Weddings: Elyse + Alex

Elyse and Alex’s micro wedding in Silverthorne, CO, was such a beautiful, intimate and personal day. Held at a gorgeous Airbnb, the entire day was filled with so much love and close-knit connections. It was amazing to see how much they cherished having their closest friends and family by their side. There’s something so special about Colorado micro weddings. It’s all about the people who matter most, and that really shone through in every moment of their day.

Cozy Dinner Party Vibes

One of my favorite parts of Elyse and Alex’s wedding was the intimate dinner party reception. This is why I love micro weddings so much. You have the ability to create a setting where the people you love most come together in a relaxed, intimate environment. The reception on the Airbnb’s balcony was absolutely stunning. Adorned with beautiful white flower arrangements, a mountain view, soft candlelight, and the relaxed energy of a summer evening in Colorado. It was cozy, romantic, and just perfect for them.

Tips for Planning Colorado Micro Weddings

Here are a few tips to help make your day as special and stress-free as possible:

1. Choose a Meaningful Location

Whether it’s a cozy Airbnb in the mountains, a charming backyard, or a favorite park, pick a spot that holds significance for you and your partner. Colorado offers endless scenic backdrops, so think about what feels most like “you”—whether it’s a mountain view, a lakeside spot, or a hidden gem in the city.

2. Keep It Intimate

One of the best things about micro weddings is the opportunity to focus on your closest friends and family. Make a guest list that includes only the people who matter most to you. This not only keeps things intimate but also allows you to spend quality time with each guest.

3. Personalize Your Day

Incorporate personal touches that reflect your relationship. Whether it’s handwritten vows, a unique ceremony, or incorporating a hobby you both love, these details make your wedding uniquely yours. Elyse and Alex, for example, included a special moment with Alex’s car, which added that extra personal touch to their day.

4. Embrace Nature

Colorado’s landscape is stunning, so let it shine in your wedding photos! Don’t worry too much about the weather. Storm clouds can add drama to your photos, and a little bit of rain can create a romantic atmosphere. Work with your photographer to capture the beauty of the surroundings.

5. Focus on the Experience

Also, with a smaller guest list you can create a relaxed and enjoyable experience for everyone. Think about a family-style dinner or a cozy reception space where guests can mingle easily. The balcony dinner party at Elyse and Alex’s wedding was the perfect example of this—it felt like an intimate gathering of loved ones.

6. Choose the Right Vendors

With a micro wedding, you have the flexibility to work with vendors who really get your vision. Take the time to find a photographer, caterer, and other vendors who align with your style and can help bring your dream day to life.

It’s All About What Matters Most

What made this day so amazing was how focused it was on spending time with loved ones. Elyse and Alex’s closest friends and family came together to celebrate in a way that felt really genuine and true to who they are. The whole night was about being together, making memories, celebrating and just enjoying the moment.

Dreaming of Your Intimate Wedding?

Elyse and Alex’s micro wedding showed how powerful and meaningful a small, intimate wedding can be. It’s a reminder that when it comes to weddings, it’s not about the size but about the love and connections that fill the day. If you’re thinking about a micro wedding in Colorado, their day is a beautiful example of how special it can be.
